Professor Anding Xu elected chairman of 2017 Brain Edema
On December 10, 2017, the 17th international conference on cerebral edema and cell injury was held in China for the first time and concluded successfully in guangzhou. Professer Anding Xu was elected as chairman of the new international committee on cerebral edema and cell injury (three-year term).
The international conference on cerebral edema and cell injury was established in 1965 and is held every three years in North America, Europe and Asia. This conference is dedicated to provide an international exchange platform for young scholars, share the latest research achievements, discusses the general problems, promote the development of strategic management of brain damage and nerve repair in the field of basic science and translational medicine research.
The conference was held in China for the first time and was undertaken by our hospital. At the meeting, the President of our hospital was elected as the new chairman.
The conference keynote speech lasted two days, the invited professors, including the well-known professor John Zhang，Guohua Xi, Jun Chen are from USA, Germany's Nikolaus Plesnila, Japan's Mr. Maeda and ShiFuDong, Liping Liu as the conference guests, they made seven key sessions, attracted more than 200 young scholars to attend from all over the country.
