A lecture,"Resident Training Program in the USA", was held in JNUH.

In order to response the necessity of building up high-level university and high-quality hospital , the Department of Continuing Education , Epilepsy Center of our hospital and Neurosurgery Specialized Committee of Guangdong Medical Education Association invited professor Yuan Fan ,an alumnus of JiNan University , who is come from Carolinas medical college in USA to give us a lecture on resident training program in USA .

Director Wang chaired the meeting and introduced the experience of professor Fan ,who got bachelor degree in GuangZhou medical University and commenced master degree in JiNan University, then he continued to obtain doctor degree and engaged in posterdoctor research in USA .Since then , he accepted Unite States American resident training program systematically .Consequently, he have a strong point of view of China-American medical education . Obvisouly ,he know everything about training of neurology and epilepsy . He is proficient in epilepsy treatment ,orientation of surgical evaluation , long-term electroencephalogram monitoring,hospital management , animal model of epielpsy , China-American medical education and treatment cooperation .

According to his experience , we knew the pathway to be a doctor in USA, which can help us know how to became a clinical doctor in American .Secondly, Professor Fan statement the courses of ACGME(Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education ) and emphasis ACGME core competencies ,such as Patient care and procedural skill,Medical knowledge ,Practice- based learning and improvement,Interpersonal and communication skill ,Professionalism, Systems-based practice. Our staffs have all deep passion , and they all communicate with   Professor Fan postively .

After this lecture ,we have a clearly recognize about Unite States American resident training program. Thanks for Professor Fan bringing those wonderful academic forum .
